École Française Partner Programme (EFPP)

French on your timetable. No French teacher required.

A complete, structured French education solution designed to help schools introduce, strengthen and sustain French learning without depending entirely on the recruitment and retention of a full-time French teacher.

FrenchBridge provides the instructional system. The school provides the learning environment and an appointed facilitator.

  • Assessment and Support

Overview

What is EFPP?

The École Française Partner Programme (EFPP) is FrenchBridge International's flagship school French solution. It combines specialist French instruction, professionally prepared recorded classroom lessons, structured curriculum, learner resources, facilitator support, pronunciation and speaking practice, assessments, marking guidance, implementation support and quality assurance.

EFPP is not simply a collection of French videos. It is a repeatable French education system designed to help schools maintain continuity, consistency and measurable learner progression.

The challenge

The problem EFPP solves

  • Difficulty recruiting suitably qualified French teachers.
  • Repeated teacher turnover and interrupted learning.
  • Inconsistent schemes, teaching methods and pronunciation models.
  • French programmes that depend too heavily on one individual.
  • Learners studying French without developing sufficient practical communication skills.
  • Difficulty maintaining consistent French provision across classes or campuses.

EFPP addresses these challenges as a systems problem rather than simply a recruitment problem.

The model

How EFPP works

1

Facilitated Digital Classroom Model

Specialist French instruction is delivered through professionally prepared recorded lessons and supporting resources, while the partner school appoints a facilitator to manage classroom implementation.

2

The facilitator implements

The facilitator does not need to independently develop the French curriculum or become the specialist French instructor. The facilitator manages participation, guided practice, workbook activities, classroom organisation and implementation using FrenchBridge's structured guidance.

3

Strengthens existing departments

Where a school already has a French teacher, EFPP can strengthen the existing department by providing curriculum structure, instructional resources, assessment support and quality assurance.

Curriculum

Curriculum and learning approach

EFPP is curriculum-led, not video-led. Lessons sit within a structured progression of learning objectives, vocabulary, language functions, grammar where appropriate, listening, speaking, reading, writing and assessment.

  • Communication first

Learners progressively use French rather than merely memorising notes.

  • Four-skill development

Listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed progressively.

  • Age-appropriate learning

Content, pace and activities reflect learner development.

  • Progression and retrieval

New learning builds on prior learning and important language is revisited.

  • Grammar in context

    Grammar supports meaningful language use.

  • Pronunciation support

Learners receive consistent specialist pronunciation modelling.

  • Curriculum alignment

Where an official Nigerian curriculum or scheme applies, relevant EFPP content is mapped accordingly.

Every learner

Differentiation and inclusion

EFPP recognises that learners do not all learn at the same pace. The classroom model supports differentiation through planned pause points, replay and repetition, scaffolded practice, visual and verbal support, strategic pair or group work, additional response time and reinforcement for learners who need more support.

Learners who are ready to move further can be given extension activities such as additional vocabulary, sentence construction, dialogue, reading, writing or speaking challenges. The aim is for learners to work towards the same core objectives while receiving appropriate levels of support and challenge.

In the classroom

The role of the school facilitator

The facilitator's responsibility is implementation rather than independent French teaching or curriculum development.

  • Prepare the classroom and required resources.
  • Access the correct lesson and follow the Facilitator Guide.
  • Manage pause, replay and practice points.
  • Encourage learner participation and repetition.
  • Organise pair and group activities.
  • Supervise learner notes and workbook activities.
  • Administer supplied assessments according to guidance.
  • Maintain basic implementation records.
  • Identify learners who may require reinforcement.
  • Escalate French-language questions or implementation issues to FrenchBridge where necessary.

FrenchBridge carries responsibility for the specialist instructional system; the school facilitator is accountable for effective classroom implementation.

Learner questions and academic support

The facilitator provides first-line classroom clarification by replaying relevant instruction, referring learners to approved resources and guiding further practice. Where a question requires specialist French-language input, it can be escalated through the defined FrenchBridge academic-support process. This prevents non-specialist facilitators from being expected to invent answers outside their competence.

Assessment

Assessment and marking

EFPP assessment is designed to reflect language competence rather than written recall alone. Depending on level, assessment may include listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Facilitators receive assessment administration guidance, answer keys and marking guides where applicable. Structured rubrics can be used for productive skills such as speaking and writing, with escalation or moderation support for cases requiring specialist review.

Learner development

Expected learner development

  • Greet and respond appropriately in French.
  • Introduce themselves and communicate age-appropriate personal information.
  • Understand increasingly familiar classroom instructions and spoken French.
  • Use relevant vocabulary and expressions in context.
  • Participate in age-appropriate conversations.
  • Develop listening comprehension.
  • Read French appropriate to their level.
  • Produce written French appropriate to their level.
  • Improve pronunciation and confidence.
  • Build a stronger foundation for subsequent French study and relevant examinations.

Specific outcomes depend on programme level, duration, learner starting point and consistency of implementation.

Getting started

School requirements

  • A designated school facilitator or programme coordinator
  • A suitable display device such as a television, projector, interactive board, laptop or desktop computer

  • Learner access to the required authorised learning materials

Standards

Quality assurance

Production quality also considers clear sound, readable visuals, correct sequencing and consistency of resources.

Licensing

Intellectual property and school use

EFPP and its proprietary curriculum materials, recorded lessons, guides, workbooks, assessments, presentations, training resources and programme systems remain the intellectual property of FrenchBridge International. Partner schools receive authorised rights to use the programme within the agreed scope.

At the same time, EFPP is designed to become integrated into the partner school's academic system: the school owns the quality of implementation, classroom participation, learner experience and internal accountability, while FrenchBridge provides and protects the instructional system.
